Landlord Proficiency Test

Welcome to the Landlord Proficiency Test, in order to obtain the certificate you need to successfully complete the following modules:

• Module One: Pre tenancy
• Module Two: During tenancy
• Module Three: End of tenancy
• Module Four: HMO Licensing*

*only landlords and managers of licensable HMOs will need to complete module four - HMO Licensing.

The West of England Landlord Manual (Issue 2) can be used as a reference guide for completing the modules. If you do not have a copy of the Manual please email private.landlords@bristol.gov.uk with your correspondence address or telephone 0117 353 3867 to request a copy.

The certificate will be awarded once all modules have been successfully completed and the payment received.

Cost of the Landlord Proficiency Test is £50, an invoice will only be raised once the modules have been completed. A 50% discount applies for accredited or deposit bond landlords.
